Another study has been released showing the health benefits coffee drinkers obtain when they drink coffee daily. The newest study, performed by York University in the UK, used 3,721 participants who had previously suffered from a heart attack and are susceptible to dying prematurely from heart failure. The study closely followed the participants’ coffee drinking habits and found thatcompared to non-coffee drinkers, drinking one to two cups a day decreased their risk of dying early from heart damage by 20 percent.
This is hardly the first study that reveals coffee drinking benefits. A previous study revealed drinking five cups of coffee a day reduces the risk of dying from heart disease or other ailments by 12 percent. Coffee drinking has also been linked to helping those suffering from Parkinson’s disease as well as helping to prevent liver cancer.
It’s not like coffee lovers need much of an excuse, but York University’s new study proves a coffee a day will keep the heart doctor away!
